At the beginning, two members of this band, Pierre Bouvier (bass and singer) and Chuck Comeau (drums) created a band when they were thirteen years old. That band had a puink style and its name was "Reset".
It was sort of famous and they played with other bands such as MxPx, Ten Foot Pole and Face to Face.
The first one to leave "Reset" was Chuck because he wanted to spend more time studying. Pierre tried to keep going on with "Reset" but the band wasn't as good anymore.
Not long after Chuch left the band, he decided to create a new band with his classmates, Sébastien Lefebvre i Jeff Stinco. The band was named Simple Plan, but they needed a singer.
Menwhile, Pierre left "Reset" and a friend of his, David Desrosiers, decided to continue with the band.
In a concert in Sugar Ray in Montreal, Pierre and Chuck met and he talked about the new band and also about how they needed a bass player and a singer. Pierre thought he could do both jobs so he decided to try play with them. Quickly he realised he couldn't sing and play bass properly at the same time so they decided to find another bass player and Pierre got to be the main singer in the band.
Around 2001 the signed a contract with Lava Records to record their firt CD: No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls with was released on March 2002. Famous singers helped them with their first CD (Good Charlotte, Blink-182...)
Their songs started to be in more films and a year later they released their second album: MTV Hard Rock Live with a acoustic version of their song "Crazy".
That was the beginning of an amazing music career which is still going on nowadays.
